Terms of Service
Please read these Terms carefully. They govern your use of OptionsLive. By creating an account, connecting an exchange account, or otherwise using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
This English version is authoritative.
1. What OptionsLive is (and is not)
OptionsLive (the "service", "we", "us") is a non-custodial copy-trading tool operated at optionslive.trade. It copies the trades of the master traders you choose — the AI masters OptionsLive itself operates (currently "AI Strangle", a short-strangle strategy, and "AI Condor", an iron-condor strategy) and independent lead traders — into your own third-party exchange account (currently Bybit), using API keys you provide. Because OptionsLive operates the AI masters and keeps the whole profit-sharing fee on copies of them, it has an interest in you copying them. We are NOT an exchange, broker, custodian, investment adviser, or fund manager. We never take custody of your trading capital and never withdraw or transfer funds out of your exchange account, which stays under your control. The only money you send us is payment toward profit-sharing fees (see section 8); we do not hold your trading funds. You can disconnect at any time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to accept these Terms. You may not use the service if you are located in, or a resident of, a jurisdiction where use of the service or the underlying trading activity is restricted or prohibited [OPERATOR: list restricted jurisdictions]. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the laws that apply to you.
3. Your account
You register with an email address or phone number and a password, or through a supported third-party sign-in (Google or Telegram). You are responsible for the accuracy of your information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.
4. How copy trading works
When you connect your exchange account and enable copying, the service places, modifies, and closes orders in your account to mirror the trades of the master you copy according to the copy settings you choose (such as size). The AI masters trade algorithmically under rules OptionsLive sets; an independent lead trader trades at their own discretion. The service exercises no discretion over your funds beyond mirroring the master per your settings. You choose whom to copy, how much to allocate, and when to stop. Execution in your account may differ from the master's — for example due to price movement, slippage, latency, available margin, or exchange limits — and identical results are not guaranteed.
5. Exchange API keys; non-custody
To copy trades you grant the service API access to your exchange account with trading and read permissions. Do NOT enable withdrawal permission — the service does not need it and will never use it. We store your API secret encrypted and use your keys only to place copy orders and to read the market and account data needed to operate and report on your copying. You may revoke your keys at the exchange, or disconnect them in the service, at any time.
6. Risk disclosure
Copy trading carries substantial risk, including the total loss of your capital. Markets move against positions, and you may lose some or all of the funds in any account you connect.
SHORT strangles — what AI Strangle trades — carry potentially UNLIMITED loss. Selling options exposes you to losses far larger than the premium received, with no fixed cap. Only participate with capital you can afford to lose entirely.
Trading may involve leverage, margin, and liquidation: your positions can be closed by the exchange, and you can lose more than you intended to allocate. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
By accepting, you acknowledge and agree that the platform and its operator are NOT responsible for:
- any market movement or trading losses, including losses arising from the masters you choose to copy; and
- any technical, system, software, network, exchange, or API error, outage, or failure — including any delay, interruption, or failure to place, modify, or close an order — whether on our side, the exchange's side, or any third party's.
You are solely responsible for the funds and API keys in any account you connect, for the copy settings you choose, and for monitoring your own positions. Nothing here is financial advice.
7. Third-party services
The service works with third parties including your exchange (Bybit) and, if you use them, Google and Telegram. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their acts, omissions, availability, or security.
8. Fees
OptionsLive charges a profit-sharing fee — a share of the trading profits the copied master generates in your account: a percentage of your net profit with each master you copy above its high-water mark, for OptionsLive's own AI masters (AI Strangle and AI Condor) and for independent lead traders alike. The percentage is the profit-sharing rate shown on the master's page and on the copy form at the time the fee is charged. OptionsLive sets it, may set a different rate for each master, and may change it; a change applies from then on and does not re-charge or refund any fee already charged. Your net profit with a master is the sum of the net results of its rounds counted under this rule; its high-water mark is the highest that sum has reached. When a round closes or settles and lifts the sum above the mark, the fee is that percentage of the part above it, and the mark rises to the new sum. A loss lowers the sum, and no fee is charged again until the sum passes the mark. To cover these fees you maintain a prepaid fee balance (a "gas" balance) that you top up by Bybit internal transfer; fees are deducted from it as each round closes or settles. A fee larger than your balance is deducted in full and takes the balance below zero; the amount below zero is owed to OptionsLive and is paid first out of your next top-ups. New rounds are not copied onto your account while your balance is zero or below; positions already open are unaffected.
OptionsLive may pay part of each fee to the master you copy — the part OptionsLive sets, which may be none — and keeps the rest. For OptionsLive's own AI masters OptionsLive keeps the whole fee. What a master receives comes out of the fee and never adds to it, so the rate you pay is the same however the fee is divided. A master's share is paid into the same withdrawable balance as a KOL's rewards (see below), and the withdrawal terms given there apply to it too.
This fee balance is the ONLY money you send to OptionsLive. It is used solely to pay profit-sharing fees (OptionsLive may pay part of each to the master you copy, as above), is separate from the trading capital in your own exchange account, and is non-refundable and non-withdrawable. Exchange trading fees, funding, and other trading costs are charged by the exchange and are your responsibility.
Referral rewards. If someone invited you to OptionsLive, they earn a reward each time you deposit gas: 5% of the deposit, or the rate OptionsLive agrees with them if they are a KOL (an invited partner). OptionsLive pays it, so your whole deposit is credited to you either way. They see what they earn from your deposits and when each reward is credited, which can show how much you deposited if you are the only person they invited. Rewards to regular inviters are paid as gas and, like all gas, are non-refundable and non-withdrawable.
KOLs take part by invitation. OptionsLive sets each KOL's rate and may change or end it for future deposits; rewards already credited stay. A KOL's rewards are not gas: together with any share paid to a master (see above) they form one withdrawable balance, separate from gas, that can be withdrawn above a minimum shown in the app. Withdrawals are paid by hand to the Bybit UID or the address the KOL or master gives, less that network's fee. The KOL or master is responsible for that destination being correct, and OptionsLive may check a request and refuse it with a reason, which returns the amount to the balance. OptionsLive may change or end the referral program at any time; rewards already credited stay.
Masters' shares. OptionsLive may change or end a master's share for future fees; shares already credited stay in the master's balance. Fees charged after someone stops being a master pay them nothing.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the service unlawfully or in breach of your exchange's terms; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or to other users' accounts or data; interfere with or disrupt the service; reverse engineer or misuse the service or its APIs; or engage in market manipulation or abusive trading. You must maintain sufficient margin in your account and monitor your own positions.
10. Intellectual property
The service, including its software, content, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works except as permitted by law.
Anything you upload — a profile photo, your nickname, or a master's nickname, country and bio — must be yours or used with permission. We remove material when we receive a valid copyright notice. Each valid notice that is not resolved by a counter-notice is a strike against the account; after three, the account can no longer upload or change its photos and profile text, and we remove them. Our Copyright Policy describes this.
11. No advice
The service, including any master performance figures and educational material, is provided for information only. It is not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and is not a recommendation to trade. You are solely responsible for your decisions.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or that copying will be profitable or uninterrupted.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our operators, affiliates, and personnel are not liable for any trading or investment losses, nor for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, nor for losses arising from exchange or API errors, outages, delays, or security incidents outside our reasonable control. [OPERATOR / counsel: set an aggregate liability cap.]
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your trading activity, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, to protect the service or other users, or as required by law. You may stop at any time by disabling copying, disconnecting your API keys, and/or closing your account. Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update the service and these Terms. If we make material changes, we will ask you to review and accept the updated Terms before you continue. A change to a profit-sharing rate is not such a change: a rate shown on the copy page (the master's page and the copy form) applies from the change on, without your accepting the Terms again, and if you do not agree with it you can stop copying at any time to avoid it on later rounds (see section 15); a round that has already resolved is charged at the rate in force when its fee is charged. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
17. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. It forms part of these Terms.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law that applies to the operator of optionslive.trade. If a dispute arises, contact us first (see Contact below) so we can try to resolve it informally. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
